What to Expect at the del Lago Casino in New York

The del Lago is one of four places at which players can legally bet on sports in NY. This review looks at the important aspects of the del Lago Resort & Casino, which services the Finger Lakes region of New York.

Vegas Style Casino Games Available

The casino’s gaming floor measures 94,000 square feet and contains thousands of quality casino games of varying types. The casino carries over 2,000 of the world’s most exhilarating slots, many of which were developed by the legendary casino games developer Scientific Games.

Classic reels, creative mini games, and jackpots, whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it at the del Lago casino. Here is a list of all the game-types you will find on del Lago’s game floor.

  • Slots
  • Ultimate Texas Hold’em
  • Baccarat (Mini & Midi)
  • Pai Gow
  • Money Wheel
  • Roulette
  • Blackjack
  • Craps
  • Three Card Poker
  • Sic Bo
  • Casino War
  • Bingo
  • Stud Poker
  • Spanish 21

Above you can see that, in addition to slots, this gaming resort also carries a decent selection of live table games. In fact, there are over 60 live dealer tables at the #1 casino in the Finger Lakes region. The del Lago Resort & Casino is one of the first places that offers live casino games in New York. Racinos have had table games for a while, but always in video format.

Handy Resort App

When you first hear the words casino mobile app, the first thing that probably comes to mind is online casino games or sports betting. This isn’t the casino with the del Lago casino mobile app. Nevertheless, the application is a great tool for gamers at the resort. It is completely free and will help you keep track of the points you’ve collected, book a hotel room and locate hard to find games on the game room floor.

The app is available for both Android and iOS devices. When compared to places like Turning Stone Casino, the del Lago is a little behind the times when it comes to online gaming. However, we’ll give it the benefit of the doubt considering it hasn’t been around for years like some of the tribal casinos in NY.

Promotions

If a land-based casino doesn’t offer promotions, it will have a tough time cracking the list of the best casinos in New York. At the del Lago Casino, players have a plethora of promos to choose from. The casino offers tournaments for slots and poker as well as the chance to win some free play money. Some of the more exciting promos have included giveaways for items, such as motorcycles, cars and even trips to Europe. The promos at del Lago Resort are constantly being reworked, so for the most up-to-date info, I’d hop on over to the casino’s official promotions page.

Loyalty Rewarded at the Players Club

At this Finger Lakes casino, you’ll be rewarded for your loyalty. The ‘Players Club’ card allows you to collect points that can be redeemed for things like special hotel rates and prizes. The loyalty program is tiered, and the benefits increase as you collect more points. As an added bonus, you don’t have to spend points on gaming related perks. Points earned with the del Lago casino players card can also be spent at a handful of the casino’s business partners. The list includes a winery, golf course, restaurants and some distilleries. So, if you know you’re going to game a lot at the del Lago casino, I’d recommend signing up for the Players Club.

General Information

The del Lago Casino was the pet project of New York’s governor Andrew M. Cuomo. The governor welcomed the opening of the resort because it would create 1,500 permanent jobs in the region as part of 2013’s Upstate New York Gaming and Economic Development Act.

As a result, ten percent of the tax revenue from the gambling hall goes to the town of Tyre and the Seneca region. The remaining money goes to the state for various programs.
